ABOUT THE PRINCIPALS

Robert F. Pietroski, SRA is President and Chief Executive Officer. His business career has been devoted to real estate appraisal and assessing. Prior to becoming President of Pietroski & Company, he managed the Portland, Maine office of FD Pietroski & Company, of Hingham, MA. Prior to that assignment he worked as a residential staff appraiser in the Hingham Office of FD Pietroski & Company. His first major position was as a staff appraiser for a Massachusetts based savings bank.

Mr. Pietroski's active practice involves residential real estate appraisal and consulting. Bob holds the Certified Residential license in the State of Maine.  He is the senior office FHA Appraiser as well as a VA Appraiser. His corporate responsibilities include client relations. He holds the Senior Residential Appraiser (SRA) designation of the Appraisal Institute, is an active member of the Maine Chapter and is a past President. He also is a member and director of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Maine and a member of the Portland Board of Realtors.

Bob is a Maine native, and his parents continue to reside in Rockland. He is a graduate of Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. He resides with his wife and family in Falmouth, Maine.

Ronald N. Geer, ARA is Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Pietroski & Co., Ron was the Chief Administrative Appraiser of First Pioneer Farm Credit, ACA, headquartered in Enfield, CT. First Pioneer Farm Credit is a $2 billion agricultural lending cooperative with fifteen offices in six States. He headed the appraisal risk management and the business valuation services in those six States.

Ronald Geer is qualified in business valuation; machinery and equipment appraisal; and agricultural and rural residential real estate appraisal. His experience and extensive education extends to highly-improved rural properties such as food processing plants, and greenhouse complexes. He has also been admitted as an expert witness in both real estate and business valuation cases in courts in the northeast. His work experience and background includes the preparation of and review of appraisals completed for the acquisition of conservation easements.

Ron is accredited by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ARA). He is a nationally recognized teacher, authoring seminars in greenhouse appraisal and identification of intangible assets in real estate. He currently serves as their delegate to The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council.  He holds Certified General Real Estate Appraiser licenses in Maine, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Arizona.

Ron's responsibilities include appraising, supervising, and reviewing appraisals on real estate, businesses and personal property on a national basis. During his career, his appraisal assignments have included conservation easements, dairy farms, tobacco farms, timber tracts, poultry farms, cranberry bogs, greenhouses and nurseries, organic farms, vacant land, residences, tractors and many other types of property, business, real, and personal. His business valuation experience includes the valuation of entire companies, minority stock and partnership interests. His reports have valued gifts of stock and partnership interests in family businesses for the purpose of generational transfer.

Ron is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He resides with his wife (a Gorham, Maine native) in Gorham.
